Categories: News

Bearded dragons, hissing cockroaches barn owls and kestrels are just some of the animals who will be visiting the Grand Pier this October half-term.

On Wednesday 29th October between 11am and 3pm Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm will be bringing some creepy crawlies to the Coral Room on the first floor of the Grand Pier.
Noah's Ark Zoo Farm is a unique hands-on zoo and working farm just outside Bristol set in over 100 acres of countryside

On Thursday 30th October between 10am and 4pm Secret World will be bringing along a selection of birds of prey to the Grand Pier conservatory.

These birds are resident at Secret World Wildlife Rescue and having been born in captivity they cannot be released into the wild.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue is a 24 hour service dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of British wildlife, encouraging everyone to discover what they can do to protect it.

A Grand Pier spokesman said: “We are delighted Noah’s Ark and Secret World are able to join us during half-term week. Having creepy crawlies and birds of prey here will give our visitors something extra to enjoy. Experts will be on hand to explain about the animals and how they are cared for”.
