The Grove at Freshford

The Grove at Freshford provides self catering accommodation in a 5 bedroom exclusive, 17th century period property. Sleeping up to 10 people, the house is close to the pub, shop, cafe, church and rail station in this historic village of Freshford, only 6 miles south east of Bath.

The house stands in over an acre of well-established garden with panoramic views over the rolling countryside and the River Avon. The secluded grounds and wrought iron gates ensure privacy for visiting guests in addition to providing a perfect, peaceful and tranquil setting for any occasion. In warmer months, there is an unheated outdoor swimming pool which is fully enclosed.

The house is full of historical fascination and charm dating back to 1650. The ground floor contains 2 reception rooms furnished with classic pieces overlooking the gardens through French windows. There is also a separate TV lounge. Guests can choose to eat in the formal dinning room or more casually in the kitchen/breakfast room which is fully equipped with all modern appliances. Outside there is a delightful al fresco eating area. The house features art specially commissioned from a leading local artist. There are 5 individually styled bedrooms plus a travel cot and moses basket.

We are also able to offer delicious catering from scrumptious afternoon tea, creative canapes, light suppers or even fully catered dinners.
