Established in a building dating back to 1880 and once used as a Victorian Grocers shop, Devonshire House has been fully renovated into the stylish Bed and Breakfast it is today.  Within a twenty minute walk of the city, on a major bus route into the city and with plenty of free on street parking, Devonshire House offers a convenient base to explore the city and surrounds.  Local owners Chris and Louise are on hand to give as much or as little advice as you want, to make your stay even more enjoyable.

Each room is individually decorated, en suite, with tv and dvd player, beverage tray, fluffy white towels and plump feather duvets (do tell us before your stay if you need hypo allergenic).  Two doubles, a twin and a triple bedded room, plus a holiday cottage which sleeps up to four are available.

A lounge is for guest use, with squashy sofas, up to date magazines and the local paper, imbibe in a Harveys Bristol Cream sherry with our compliments and relax after your day or plan the next one with all the information and leaflets to hand.

The choice to book a room only rate or breakfast included, is yours, breakfast is served in the light and airy breakfast room between 8 am and 9 am.  A buffet is laid out, with juice, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals and a selection of breads and jams for you to help yourself and then either a traditional Full English breakfast or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs can be pre chosen, along with freshly brewed coffee or a pot of tea from the selection available.
