Myrtle House

Myrtle House is a spacious family home that is well situated in a central, rural location. The house is set in its own land, surrounded by gardens, a paddock, and fields, which are usually grazed by cows and calves. It is a great base for a relaxing vacation.

Accommodation is available as two units, which can be rented singly or together, but if one of the units has been rented, the other will not be available for the duration of that let.

The first unit - the house - can comfortably sleep seven people upstairs, in two double bedrooms, a twin and a single bedroom;  a cot and highchair are available on request for younger guests.

The second unit – the annex- is designed to accommodate disabled visitors, including those who cannot transfer from a wheelchair.  It will sleep a maximum of four people in a pair of twin beds and a sofa bed that will sleep two; all at ground floor level .It can be used by anyone; however the prime focus is to allow physically incapacitated persons to have a good holiday accompanied by their carer and /or their family.

The home is ideal accommodation for those wishing to explore this beautiful part of England, by car, bicycle, or on foot. The property is within easy reach of many country or coastal attractions. It is situated 3 miles west of the small and attractive market town of Ilminster and 5 miles from the Devon border. The Jurassic coast is about twenty miles, with Cheddar, Glastonbury, and Wells a little further in the opposite direction. West Somerset and Exmoor are also easily reached.

The immediate area around the house is blessed with fine old country houses and gardens, many attractive hamstone villages with their equally attractive pubs, and the beautiful Blackdown Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
