- Solar thermal water heating
- Improved wall insulation with hollow partitioning
- Develop a Green Policy
- Install water butts
- Rainwater harvesting as high roof area/rainfall could provide a big saving
- Eliminate phosphate/chlorine-cleaning materials
- Move to refillable soap dispensers - could be high cost advantage if buy natural soap in bulk and refill
- Install nest boxes - very visible to guests and bird population already high due to bird feeders

- Acquiring quality second-hand (ie re-using) furniture in keeping with property
