  • Improved wall insulation with hollow partitioning
  • Develop a Green Policy
  • Install water butts
  • Rainwater harvesting as high roof area/rainfall could provide a big saving
  • Eliminate phosphate/chlorine-cleaning materials
  • Move to refillable soap dispensers - could be high cost advantage if buy natural soap in bulk and refill
  • Install nest boxes - very visible to guests and bird population already high due to bird feeders

  • Acquiring quality second-hand (ie re-using) furniture in keeping with property
