Somerset's first Sustainable Tourism Conference on 5th March 2008 proved to be a great success!

Speaking to some 60 delegates, was TV personality, writer and keen cyclist, Adam Hart-Davis, who helped to 'set the scene' and give the bigger picture on Climate Change.
Organised by the Sustainable Tourism Sub-Group of the Somerset Tourism Partnership, the free-to-attend event included a morning of inspiring presentaions from expert speakers, 6 full workshop sessions and a local produce lunch.
Speakers on the day included Kevin Redpath of Redpath Productions who covered marketing and communications, local author, poet and food critic, James Crowden who discussed quality local food and drink, and South West based consultancy, Envision, who tackled the key issue of money saving and resource efficiency.
The Conference was funded and supported by the Somerset Tourism Partnership, Somerset Tourism Skills Network, Business Link's SusBiz Programme, South West Tourism and South West of England Regional Development Agency.
