After two successful years in the South West, the Tour of Britain is back, and bigger than ever before!
The Tour of Britain is the UK’s largest professional cycling race which takes place over eight consecutive days, visiting various regions across the country.
This year the FREE spectator event will be racing into the South West region for two stages (stages 4 and 5) of racing on Tuseday 14 and Wednesday 15 September, covering a total of 347km.
Starting from the West Somerset Railway Station in Minehead, STAGE 4 of the Tour will take the riders through the beautiful landscape of Exmoor National Park into the Devon countryside and ending in Teignmouth on the south coast.
STAGE 5 starts in Devon at Tavistock, which is on the edge the South West's other National Park, Dartmoor. The riders will work their way up through the Devon and South Somerset countryside, crossing the Somerset Levels & Moors and ending in the historic town of Glastonbury.
To celebrate the Tour of Britain coming to the South West there will also be a number of events taking place along the route and at the start and finish towns in the build up to the race and on the race days.
