Heritage steam railway operating between Minehead and Bishop's Lydeard, near Taunton. Longest independent railway in Britain, (20 miles). Visitor centre and model railway at Bishop's Lydeard, Great Western Railway Museum at Blue Anchor, and Somerset and Dorset Railway Museum at Washford. Diesel and Electric Group depot at Williton. Shops at Bishops Lydeard, Minehead and Watchet Refreshments at Bishops Lydeard and Minehead.

Nearest major road is M5. Follow road signs for Minehead ; also brown tourist signs for WSR, on approaching Bishops Lydeard do not go into village. The station is signposted from the by-pass. Also accessible via A39 at Williton (from Bridgwater) and at Minehead (From Lynton).
Nearest station is Taunton station. First bus service 28 & 28a link Taunton station & Bishops Lydeard from Monday to Saturday. Services 928 & 300 offer a Sunday link.
Trains to Bristol from Minehead will run on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays.
The trains will leave Minehead at 11:10 and will call at WSR stations to Williton. They will then run to Bishops Lydeard, Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads. Trains will depart Bristol Temple Meads for Taunton and Minehead at 14:06.
