An 18thC replica of the Temple of Fortuna Virilis in Rome, attributed to Thomas Prowse and built by Sir Charles Kemeys Tynte, in c1767. A Grade II Listed building which was restored c1994. Nearby is another restored Grade II* Folly, Robin Hood's hut, which can be reached by footpath, but which is not open to the public inside.
The Temple is one of a number of follies at Halswell Park and is administered by the Halswell Park Trust whose aim is to restore the buildings, grottoes, bridges and monuments and open them to the public.
