The Somerset Guild was created in 1933 and is one of the oldest such Guild in the Country. Situated in the centre of the old Wessex capital of Somerton, the Guild has a County wide membership of dedicated and high class craftsmen designers. Members are accepted into the Guild by a selection process that seeks to ensure that the very highest quality of craftsmanship is maintained. The Gallery is open throughout the year enabling our members to show and sell their work to discerning customers looking for something that is individual, locally made and really special. There are 60 or so makers with work in the Courthouse at any one time, along with an annual programme of special exhibitions and events.
