More Information

The National Animal Welfare Trust at Heaven’s Gate Farm is a Rescue and Rehoming centre for unwanted cats, dogs and small animals where the emphasis is on responsible pet ownership and permanent re-homing. Prior to re-homing all dogs, cat and rabbits are neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and are sent home with a 6 week pet insurance cover note. The centre is also home to farm animals, birds, deer, horses and donkeys which are available for sponsorship.

Most visitors come to choose a new companion, others come for the special events that the Trust holds there over the year, like Open Days. The staff at are happy to do tours of the centre for groups, by prior arrangement.

The centre has a snack room where visitors can enjoy a vended drink and snack and there is also a picnic area. The gift shop area also stocks pet supplies and ice creams.
