WESTON-SUPER-MARE'S top attraction, The Grand Pier, is under exciting new ownership for 2008 and anyone who visits the landmark this year will be in for a super-charged, traditional seaside, fun-filled, family outing with a difference.
Hop on the pier train and ride the length of the promenade from the shore end to the pavillion and discover some of the best coastal entertainment in Somerset and feast on the heartiest of seaside fare.
The all-weather entertainment park, which has fantastic views of the shoreline, beach and sea, houses an exhilarating range of traditional rides and attraction, including a soon to be revamped for 2008 ghost train and crazy house, and more daring white knuckle experiences.
The amusements include a big wheel, video games, slot machines and a children's ball pool and adventure playground.
There will be regular free entertainment such as clowns, stilt walkers and various other circus acts to give holidays a real carnival atmosphere, plus the chance to take home presents for loved ones from a new shop selling some of Somerset's finest produce and traditional seaside gifts including fudge, popcorn, candy floss, toffee apples, donuts all freshly made on the premises.
