Walking in Somerset

Walk in the footsteps of King Arthur, Lorna Doone or Coleridge - also associated with the Poets Way footpath between Clevedon and Portishead. Whether you want a short gentle ramble or a long hike, a walk in the countryside or by the coast, the county of Somerset has it all!

Walking on the Mendips

There are five ranges of hills giving magnificent views across the county and on the Somerset Levels and Moors walkers can see the wildlife of the Wetlands, which are drained by an ingenious system of small canals or 'rhynes'.
