There is a warm welcome awaiting you at one of Somerset’s famous long houses from the proprietors Gilly & Vern. A complimentary pot of tea or coffee is available on arrival and can be served outside or on the Guests lounge, where there is a colour television. A two/three course dinner is available, but for this we do require at least twenty four hours notice. We also cater for vegetarians. Light snacks, packed lunches and a children’s menu is also available on request. From Easter until September Cream Teas are a feature of the farm, which can be served outside or inside the pretty little café.

Yew Tree Farm has been in the Clark family for well over 120 years and up until recently was a working dairy farm.

Situated in a very central position, the City of Wells, Wookey hole and the breathtaking Cheddar Gorge are only a very short distance away. Bath and Bristol are approximately 35/40 minutes both with park and ride facilities. Whilst the sea side towns of Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea and Brean are close by. There are several pubs and restaurants in the vicinity and the lovely village of Wedmore is just up the road. Boasting a variety of quality fashion shops, a beautiful church and local hostelries as well as a selection of other types of shops.

If you enjoy outdoor activities we are surrounded by idyllic walks, bird sanctuaries, several golf courses and there are fishing lakes approximately 5/10 minutes away.

Road Directions

M5 Jcn 22 turn left at roundabout; take first left signposted Wedmore; drive through Mark Blackford and Wedmore onto Wells Road; follow the B3139 through Latcham, then Theale; we are the Somerset longhouse with the bed and breakfast sign ( approximately 20 minutes from motorway).
