This family-run, architecturally listed hotel offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for those wishing to unwind amongst the breathtaking scenery of Exmoor and is excellently placed for exploring the South West of England. Dunster, although small, offers many sightseeing and photographic opportunities through the Castle, Water Mill, Priory Church and the general architecture of this quaint English village. Dunster Station is part of the West Somerset Steam Railway.
All our rooms have en-suite facilities with tea and coffee making facilities and a colour TV. Some rooms have four-poster beds for that special occasion and some have views over the spectacular surrounding landscape. Family rooms are also available.
Local produce is served daily both at breakfast where you can have a full English breakfast or something a little lighter, and dinner where a mouth watering selection of dishes await you at the end of the day.
Children and dogs are welcome and conference facilities are available. Groups/parties most welcome. We are open all year including Christmas and New Year. Telephone enquiries most welcome.
We have recently been accredited the 'Walking for Health' award for which we are very proud, as we are the first, at the moment, the only Hotel to achieve this award. There are gentle accompanied walks available locally for people who are just taking up walking, every Tuesday and Friday.
All this adds up to a wonderful experience that you will want to repeat over and over again.

Road Directions
M5 Jcn 25 and follow signs for Exmoor and Minehead A358/A39. Dunster Castle will be on your left. Dunster is sign posted approximately ½ mile from A39 on the left-hand side. Hotel is in centre of Dunster village beside Yarn Market.
Public Transport Directions
From Taunton - 24 miles. Bus stop outside Taunton station with direct service to Dunster and Minehead or for the more adventurous travel by bus to Bishops Lydeard and then board West Somerset Railway (steam or diesel) train for Dunster (check times carefully).
