Type: Farm

Lower Farm is set in the heart of Somerset on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Kingweston. This working farm is in a conservation area and enjoys spectacular views over open countryside. The Grade II listed farmhouse was once a coaching inn and retains many original features. Guests are made very welcome and the rooms are equipped to a high standard with many thoughtful extras to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.

All the rooms are en suite with courtesy trays, TV and have the benefit of full central heating. A cosy sitting area is available for visitors and access is available throughout your stay. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice. An excellent farmhouse breakfast is served in the Georgian dining room, aga cooked using local and home produced foods.

Kingweston is well placed to visit Wells, Glastonbury, Bath and numerous other places of interest including a variety of notable National Trust houses and gardens. It is also conveniently sited for the Bath and West Showground, near Shepton Mallet. It has the advantage of being easy to find, situated on the B3153 approximately a mile west of the village of Keinton Mandeville with easy access from the A303 in particular and also the M5.

Lower Farm can now offer an excellent and unusual venue for meetings, training and private functions in a recently restored 17th Century courthouse. The original barrelled ceiling and open fireplace help create a unique atmosphere. Catering can be provided and there is good off road parking.
