Uniquely situated on the edge of the City of Wells (England's smallest City). Islington Farm was built more than 300 years ago.
It is adjacent to The Bishop's Palace and surrounded by fields and parkland.
Just a few minutes walk away passing the moated Bishop's Palace is the ancient Market Place where markets are still held every Wednesday and Saturday. There are a varied selection of shops, restaurants and eating places in the town.
Covered with a beautiful Virginia creeper The Farmhouse still retains its character throughout with beamed ceilings and Inglenook fireplace in the 2 rooms.
The property is privately owned – previously owned by the church commissioners who were given it in Queen Anne’s bounty. Once a working farm it is now a smallholding of 2.5 acres. Before the size was reduced it was used to breed Arab horses and now maintains a few sheep and chickens, the stables having been converted to a self-catering holiday let (4-stars).

M5 Jcn 23 - Take A39 to Wells, go straight across the roundabout and immediately right by the Sherston Inn into Southtover. Turn right opposite the Full Moon pub into Silver Street. Islington Farm is on the right hand side opposite the Bishops Tythe Barn with High White Gates.

From Bath/Bristol/Castle Cary- From Bath and Bristol- take the road to Wells. From Castle Cary - take the road to Shepton Mallet and then to Wells. From Wells go straight across the roundabout and immediately right by the Sherston Inn into Southover. Turn right opposite the Full Moon Pub into Silver Street. Islington farm is on the right hand side near the Bishops Tythe Barn with High White Gates.
