Backing onto woodland, Infield House is a beautifully restored Victorian townhouse, lovingly appointed with period furnishings, portraits and decor. There is an elegant and comfortable guest lounge with bookcases well stocked with local and regional guides.

Breakfast is served in the charming dining room with its Adam-style fireplace. Evening meals are available on request.

Infield House is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk to the high street with all its amenities. The Market Square, the Cathedral and the moated Bishop's Palace are just a brief stroll along the colourful High Street. The establishment is a short drive from Cheddar and Glastonbury. The famous Wookey Hole Caves and Paper Mill are just 1.5 miles from the city. Bath and Bristol are within 40 minutes drive, and there are wonderful walks on the nearby Mendip Hills.

Road Directions

Entering Wells on A39 from Glastonbury, turn left at roundabout. Continue straight on and left at 2nd traffic lights. Driveway immediately on right leads round to parking area at rear of house.

From Castle Cary - 10 miles Only taxis from Castle Cary railway station. Bus service from Bath Spa station, 20 miles.
