This beautiful, intimate 16thC coaching inn rests beside the River Exe in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. Log fires, oak beamed bars combine with sumptuous en suite bedrooms which invite you to kick off your shoes and relax.

Days and days of exploring await you, walk or ride over open moorland. Take one of our Exmoor safaris viewing the wild red deer and Exmoor ponies.

Twenty-eight en suite rooms with TV, direct dial telephones and tea and coffee makers. Dogs welcome.

Photographic tours can be arranged, walking groups welcome. Fishing, shooting, mountain biking and horse riding can be arranged. Guided walks and safaris.

Road Directions

M5 Jcn 27 follow A361 for approximately 6 miles. At roundabout turn right along A396. After 11 miles turn left to Dulverton then take B3223 Exford.

Public Transport Directions

From Taunton - 25 miles. Visitors travelling by train are advised to contact the hotel to arrange to be collected from the station (as there are no connecting buses for the onward journey).
