Bartholomew's Beautiful Barns self catering holiday accommodations are in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a paradise for walkers, with a wide variety of leisure pursuits available in the surrounding community covering all disciplines.

Both units are barn conversions located in an idyllic conservation area setting adjacent to the quiet yet well situated village of Churchill; 4 miles from Bristol International Airport, 14 miles from Bristol; 15 miles from the Georgian delights of Bath and 7 miles from the family seaside excitements of Weston-super-Mare.

Ample parking is provided for both properties and both barn conversions benefit from their own private garden spaces so you can enjoy a glass or two on a balmy summer's evening watching the many wild birds cut the air above. You will find a few complimentary bottles of wine for you on arrival to help you settle in and relax after your travels.

For both properties the rental rates cover ALL electricity charges, heating and gas costs, so there are no irritating extras to pay in addition to the published tariff. In addition, all bed linen and towels are provided for your use, along with tea towels for the kitchen. All bathrooms feature mirrors and ample storage, and we include a complimentary range of toiletries for your use in the event you left yours at home, or run out during your stay.

Well behaved dogs are allowed by prior arrangement. Please note that our insurance requirements prohibit smoking inside of the properties.

Both properties are secluded and peaceful, yet within a few strides one discovers the Nelson Arms public house - excellent carvery food from £5.99 for a real roast dinner; the CAMRA award winning Crown is a little further up the lane, a real treat for ale aficionados, with a wide range of well kept beers always on tap, with great comfort food at lunchtime.

Within a short walk one discovers the village Post Office and general store, with an excellent Fish 'n' Chip shop just a stroll away. The usual Indian & Chinese take - aways are readily available, many on a delivery basis if you prefer to enjoy an evening in without fetching your own supper. Within a mile is a very useful 24 hour service station with a surprisingly well appointed Budgen's supermarket attached.

Fantastic walking opportunities abound from your own front door. The locality is a real traveller's treat, with many interesting options to explore. Perhaps most appealing is the very wide range of walks accessible from the front doors of the properties. OS maps are provided for your use and a note of popular local (and further afield) walks is available to help you make the most of this richly varied and beautiful walking territory. Walks range from a gentle but interesting 20 minute stroll around Churchill to as demanding as you wish hikes across the glorious Mendips and beyond.

Further afield, one's personal preferences and sense of adventure set the boundaries. The local area is blessed with a very wide range of amenities, including swimming and sports within a few minutes' stroll; dry slope ski-ing a mile down the road at a renowned dry ski slope which also features a large indoor skateboard ramp. Equestrian pursuits a few minutes' drive away and great cycling both on and off road from the properties. Mendip Spring Golf Club has a gentle 18 hole course, with driving range alongside and a popular clubhouse with all usual golf amenities. A number of delightful National Trust properties are within easy reach, and the visitor will be delighted by the range of entertainments available all year round.
