Established in 1993, Clarks Village was the first outlet village to open in the UK. Situated in the heart of Somerset, Clarks Village has continually grown and developed over the years and brings an unrivalled and unique shopping experience. Over 90 high street and designer brands are brought together in a wonderfully diverse blend of buildings, including some of C&J Clarks original factory buildings with their decades of history and heritage.
Outlet shopping delivers prices that are up to 60% lower than normal high street prices, and these prices are available every day. With additional promotions, special offers and seasonal sales, prices can be up to 80% off normal retail prices. There is some misconception that outlet shopping means limited sizes, end-of-line, seconds or clearance, this may have been part of the experience in the early years of outlets but it’s certainly not the case today at Clarks Village. The high street and designer brands will have a wide range of stock including the latest fashions and trends.
Whether it’s designer fashion, every day or special occasion clothing, formal wear, sportswear, leisurewear, cookware, homeware, food & drink, gadgets & gifts, beauty & cosmetics, footwear or accessories there is an array of choice for every taste and pocket. With brands such as Clarks, M&S Outlet, Hobbs, Radley, Molton Brown, Superdry, French Connection, Gap Outlet, Joules, The North Face, Levi’s, Lindt, Dartington, Osprey, the list has over 90 brands, there is something for everyone.
Clarks Village is enhanced with paved walkways and canopies which make it a pleasant experience to shop. With plenty of landscaped gardens, raised flower beds and an amazing range of established trees there is a unique atmosphere that makes a visit to Clarks Village so enjoyable.
Plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor dining at many cafes and restaurants means it’s more than just shopping at Clarks Village. Whether it’s a coffee and cake at Costa or Caffé Nero, a sandwich or salad from Pret A Manger, a pasty or pastry from The Cornish Bakery, a snack at the many kiosks, lunch or dinner at Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo or Pizza Express; choosing where and what to eat is an equally enjoyable experience.
Open every day, except Christmas Day, Clarks Village has late night shopping ‘til 8pm on a Thursday all year round. Visit the Clarks Village website for details of opening times and don’t forget the restaurants are all open until late each night; the gates of Clarks Village are left open in the evenings to make it easier and more accessible.
Attracting nearly 4m visitors a year, Clarks Village has become not only the leading shopping centre of choice for many in the South West but a destination for many visitors to Somerset from across the UK and further afield. Many family events take place during the year with activities and entertainment during school holidays; look out for details on the Clarks Village website and social media platforms. A weekly fruit & veg market stall on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Somerset Curry Club on Saturdays and other entertainment, household, garden, food and drink concessions are regular visitors to Clarks Village which makes a visit a truly enjoyable experience.
