Ponies and Easter Eggs: Glenda Spooner Farm events over the holiday

26 Mar 2024

World Horse Welfare’s Glenda Spooner Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre, near Ilchester, will be open to the public from 11am – 4pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for the whole of the school Easter break.

Come and meet the horses, explore the beautiful farm and spot signs of spring - there may even be new foals for you to see! You can find out about how World Horse Welfare helps the horses that come into its care, and how they go on to be rehomed.

On Wednesday 3 April there is an Easter Guided Walk (booking essential) – a unique opportunity to join the World Horse Welfare team and explore more of Glenda Spooner Farm. The walk will be a chance to find out about the stories and rehabilitation of many of the horses at the farm and learn how the horses and the land is managed, alongside all the wildlife that lives there. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and includes a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit on return to the farm café (walk participants will require a good level of mobility and fitness due to the hilly terrain and this walk is not suitable for pushchairs or mobility aids).

Visits to the farm are £3 each (age 5 and over), Under 5s free. Please book your tickets online (there are set limits for visitor numbers each day). If you visit our popular coffee shop, there will lots of Easter treats to choose from. Book HERE
