5th March 2012
Scrumpstock is a festival being held on the bank holiday weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of June 2012 at Oaktree Farm Arena on the A38 near Highbridge, to celebrate many aspects of somerset culture. This includes the "scrumpy and western" music genre, which is acclaimed to have been statred by Mr Adge Cutler and the Wurzels in the late 60's, and also appearing will ...be some Irish, Folk and Bluegrass, and even folk/punk crossover bands!! Also attending will be some local comedians and entertainers to put a smile on your face! Somerset cider, or "scrumpy" as its affectionately known, will be represented by a good selection from local producers. These elements complimented by representitives from the hot food market and local somerset produce (cheeses, pickles, veg, baked goods, etc) should prove to make a great two day event for all attending!
Doors will open at mid-day on Saturday the 2nd of June, with fun activities such as welly wanging and a human agility course, bands will start around 5 o'clock with comedy acts, entertainment and DJs also providing entertainment into the late hours. Weekend tickets are now available at £18.12 which includes booking, camping, parking and postage fees, this will include saturday and sunday nights camping and entry for both days entertainment. Day tickets are priced at £11.39 (also including booking, parking, and postage fees) per day for those not wishing to stay over! We hope to see you there!!
