The sight of hundreds of thousands of starlings flocking together to form swirling balls of dots in our sky, known as Starling Murmurations, has to be one of the best sights in British wildlife.
During the winter months on the Somerset Levels, the starlings are drawn together to perform a magnificent bird display at both sunset and sunrise.
The best places to see this visual feast is at Somerset Wildlife Trust's Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve, Natural England's Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve and RSPB Ham Wall Reserve, all on the Somerset Levels, close to Glastonbury, Street and Wedmore.
