Somerset is just two hours from London and full of West Country charm. Places to Go

Steeped in history and legend, Glastonbury with its mysterious Tor and Abbey (alleged burial place of King Arthur and his warrior queen, Gwynevere) should not be missed. Wells, the smallest city in England with its magnificent medieveal cathedral is full of charm and the nearby Caves at Wookey Hole provide a great family day out. Home of cheddar cheese, Cheddar Gorge and caves are well worth a visit and why not visit one of the many cider farms for a real taste of Somerset? The coastal resorts of Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea or Minehead are full of family fun whilst the many historic houses and gardens throughout the county are perfect for those wanting to experience a real piece of English history. There are over 160 attractions in Somerset to suit all tastes and pockets so you'll never be stuck for things to see and do !
