The Knatchbull Arms began life as a private house in the late 16th century. At the time it would have been one of the grandest house in the village and was probably occupied by a clothier or coal miner owner.
The pub was also used during World War II as a secret meeting assembly for high ranking marshals and officers.
Still holding onto its historic charm the pub offers real ales, refreshing beer, a delicious Dutch and English menu and fantastic entertainment nights.
Our pub is a warm friendly place to come and drink, eat or to celebrate a special occasion.
