The Pier has been re-built as a 21st Century tourist attraction that will now be open all year round. Owners Kerry and Michelle Michael travelled the world to find the right rides and they have created an indoor theme park.

A 300 metre long Go Kart track, a side winder ride, Helter Skelter and a Robocoaster are just some of the amazing attractions that will greet visitors to the Grand Pier.

The Go Kart track is the biggest of its type in the world – with 22 electric karts, two of which are twin-seaters.

The Helter Skelter is a 12.5 metre high (41ft) high twin slide which will thrill riders as they travel down through three floors of the Pavilion building.

The Pier contains some world-class rides and attractions, but it also includes some of the old favourites, like the Ghost Train and the dodgems. In total there are 16 brand new rides.

State of the Art Facilities

The new Pier has been designed with covered walkways transporting visitors down the length of the Pier to the Pavilion. Two land trains, the Golden Arrow and Silver Arrow will ferry passengers up and down the length of the Pier.

There are 29 shops, bars and restaurants on the pier including Tiffany’s, an Edwardian tea shop and Sundaes, an ice cream parlour. There will also be 500 fun and entertainment machines and a state-of-the-art 4D cinema. The 50 seater cinema will have viewers literally moving in their chairs.

Weston’s Grand Pier is now able to host concerts for up to 3,500 people and provide conference and banqueting facilities. There are also several wedding venues, plus function rooms throughout the building.

Function rooms will be able to cater for between 20 and 250 people and the new conference facilities can hold from 20 up to 400 people.

With all its’ new facilities the Pier is now much more than a tourist attraction. It will be able to provide a stylish venue for children’s parties, fashion shows, Circus performances and corporate events as well as offer a lot of fun and thrills to all its visitors.
