The Somerset Junior 'Try-an-Aquathlon'
This year's junior triathlon was blessed with good weather on the day, which added greatly to the enjoyment of the 60 young participants and their fans. This was despite the disappointment of a cancelled bike section due to the torrential downpours earlier in the week. Sparky, the Somerset County Council dragon was in attendance too.
Sunshine Drumming provided extra interest and noise, especially for spectators not quite old enough to participate themselves. All the young athletes managed the course and received a certificate, piece of fruit and goodie bag. Photos of the event will be posted on this site soon.
